PokerNews Launches Team ChipMeUp

Almost as long as there have been poker games and poker players, there have been people who want to get in on their action. Buying a piece of a player is very common – as well as popular – and happens all the time, whether it is a major tournament like the WSOP or just a big cash game, it is common for poker players to sell pieces of their action. For many players this is the only way they can afford a big buy-in; for the buyers, it is a way to cash in on a major win without playing themselves or risking a lot of money.

•   Watch list of global events the players will be competing in.
•   The players complete stats.

Then, to make your decisions even easier, there is a forum where investing, strategy and other topics can be discussed with other investors and sellers.

The whole idea of ChipMeUp is not only very innovative, but extremely easy to use. After an account is created, all you do is browse the upcoming tournament events, see who is playing in them, then pick the percentage you wish to buy of your chosen player and transfer the funds to complete your “purchase.” ChipMeUp charges no extra fees for buying a percentage of a player but does charge a small listing fee to those who are selling shares of themselves.
