Phil Ivey warms up for the durrrrnament

January 11, 2009

With the million dollar durrrr challenge threatening to start in the near future, It won’t be surprising to find Phil Ivey warming up by playing multiple table PLO over the next little while.

Also on the table at the time is another player reported to be interested in the durrrr challenge. MR B 2 U SON, reported to be David Benyamine, is at the same table when this hand goes down. Although Ivey is one of the greatest players at the game, anyone could have played this hand well. There’s nothing like flopping a house to make a hand easy to play.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Ivey rocking multiple high-stakes tables over the next couple of weeks. The action in general is slow right now, with most the high-roller players busy at the PCA, kicking it on the beaches (can you blame them?). Expect to see the action blow up again over the next week or so.
